The battle ‘tween Leave and Remain
has driven us Brits quite insane
Now Leave are delighted
But we feel disunited
As divided as Abel and Cain.
Written for MindandLifeMatters weekly limerick challenge: this week’s challenge was to come up with a limerick with two antonyms in the same line. For some reason #Brexit is seeping into all my creative writing at the moment – I guess that’s a better outlet than shouting at people who voted differently to me!
It’s a very healthy outlet (and great limerick!). I’ve had to bury my feelings deep and just try and move on! 🙂

Yes, not a lot we can do now… although I plan to laugh bitterly and say “I told you so” rather a lot in the coming years.

Great limerick! A divided UK…how sad.

Great one! Seeing your reply to Meritings, me too! “It’s no use complaining now, you’re the one who voted leave. This is all YOUR fault!” 🙂

Oh that is a great limerick, although I feel bad at the reality of it!
