Good Evening Six Word Storytellers, and TGI Friday. I don’t know about you, but it’s been a hectic week here. The kirstwrites ranch is turning into a building project/ money pit, and I’m yawning after a long day which started at 8am to greet the kitchen fitter and electrician. But without further ado, it’s time to announce – with my paint spattered finger nails and aching shoulders – the winners of the #SixWordStoryChallenge:
This week’s theme was Fantasy. So how did we vote?
There was some world weary grumbling about a lack of knights in shining armour earlier this week, but we’ve shown our true colours as a bunch of hopeless romantics. First place goes to newbie Kripi, with a lovely hint about the eternal optimism of love :
Love at first sight. Not first time.
And we all overlooked that extra word! Well done Kripi and welcome to the #SixWordStoryChallenge!
In second place, we had a science fiction fantasy with a real Marvel Comics flavour from the Dark Netizen.
Radioactive spider bites, I get superpowers
And in third place, it’s another romantic one, from MutedMouthful
Real magic comes from your heart
Well done to our winners, and thank you everyone for taking part and sharing your brilliant stories! Look out for the next prompt tomorrow morning at 9am. I’ll be switching off the computer – and switching off the modern world – for a few days’ holiday starting tomorrow. So if you haven’t already followed my co-host of the #SixWordStoryChallenge, Wonderwall, head over to her blog and hit ‘follow’ to make sure you don’t miss out. I’ll try and reblog but it will depend on whether there’s enough sun on the solar panels to charge my phone!
