So I spotted Rashmi’s prompt to write a limerick containing two or more homonyms, round about the day after her weekly challenge closed. A couple of days after that, I sat down and wrote a limerick. Then I went on holiday to a place that had no wifi, so didn’t get a chance to post it until now. But, better late than never, here it is:
Fate acts in a way that’s not fair
And seems, in her judgement, to err
When some lucky face
At the right time and place
Undeserving, becomes Fortune’s heir.
Err and heir are homonyms, right? Well, I had fun writing it anyway. Now, what’s the subject for this week’s challenge? I really need to get back on schedule!
If you say so! It’s a great limerick anyway.

Great limerick! It’s so true that some people seem to have much better luck than others…life definitely isn’t fair.

Thank you! Funnily enough after I wrote this I thought about Theresa May… Definitely someone in the right place at the right time!
