Welcome to Thursday and the opening of the vote to decide the winner of the Six Word Story Challenge!
This week’s prompt was Magic. It’s Thursday so entries to this week’s Six Word Story Challenge are no longer being accepted. Now we vote!
Firstly a huge thank you to everyone who has taken part this week, and especially those who have shared or reblogged. We’ve certainly had more entries than the last couple of weeks so your help has made the difference! So now it’s almost time to vote… but first a question:
As an avid checker of my Stats page, I can’t help noticing that every week far more people visit and ‘like’ the weekly poll than those who actually cast a vote. If you’re a visitor/ a liker but not a voter, I’d love to know why. Is there something about the poll that’s not user-friendly (if you’re reading on a phone perhaps), or do you just feel that you shouldn’t vote if you haven’t contributed a story? Everyone is welcome to vote even if you haven’t ever taken part. Let me know in the comments if you don’t vote, and why – it’s always good to get feedback.
So now it’s time to vote: Which of the stories below should win the grand prize?*
This week, you can vote for your top THREE stories – just tick three boxes before you submit!
The vote will remain open until 9pm Friday evening (GMT) at which point I close the poll and announce the winner.
Roll of honour:
*There is no prize except one of Nicola’s glorious badges!
I try to vote every week, even if I haven’t submitted an entry. I tend NOT to vote for any entry that contains the actual prompt word – Just saying!!

I once won with a story which contained the prompt word! Guess it wasn’t you who voted for me then!
