Good Morning Six-Word Storytellers! I hope you’ve all had a lovely week and are ready for the weekend. The theme for this week’s story was Superstition. I like to think I’m a hardbitten cynic, but superstition is something that plays a part in my mind/ life more often than I care to admit. Whether it’s wearing my lucky work shirt for an important meeting, chalking up chance encounters to predestination, or even just muttering Good Day Captain when I spot a single magpie.
So maybe it was pre-ordained that I should come up with this as a prompt, giving you all the opportunity to come up with such wonderfully superstitious tales?! Anyway, without further ado let’s have a metaphorical round of applause for our three winners:
In first place, it’s…
Condemned witch, heading towards the guilotine
by Theresaly520
Closely followed by….
Black cat crossed my path. *sigh*
from trE
And in third place we have…
Fate unveiled. Old wives told true.
from Sheryl
Look out for the next challenge posted over at Sarah’s blog Wonderwall later this morning
